How to Plan Your Holidays Without the Overwhelm
The minute the Halloween candy hits the clearance rack, the pressure begins.
You can feel it creeping in from all directions:
The school events.
The travel plans.
The gift lists.
The “are you coming to this?” texts.
If you're like most moms I coach, the calendar fills faster than your heart can keep up.
You want to be present but feel pulled in too many directions.
So let me say something you may need to hear:
You’re allowed to plan your holidays around peace, not pressure.
What if You Did Things Differently This Year?
What if you didn’t say yes to everything just because it’s expected?
What if you gave your family the gift of margin?
What if you approached this season not like a project to manage but as a sacred time to savor?
Not from a place of “doing it all,” but from a heart that asks:
“What matters most for us this year?”
A Simple Holiday Planning Tip
Before adding anything to your calendar, try filtering it through these 3 questions:
Will this drain me or fill me?
Does this align with our family values right now?
Will this help us feel more connected or more rushed?
This kind of intentionality doesn’t just help you protect your energy, it sets the tone for your whole household.
It tells your kids:
We don’t have to do everything to experience the joy of the season.
We just need to be present where it matters most.
Plan Your Holidays in 30 mins
To help you create a more intentional holiday season, I wanted to share my Plan Your Holidays Workshop with you.
In this Free Planning Workshop you’ll:
Decide what really matters for your family this season and what doesn't
Map out all the upcoming activities for November + December so the season feels manageable, not overwhelming
Actually plan for rest + margin to avoid the holiday burn out
Create 1–2 holiday “rules” to protect your peace
✨ Bonus: You’ll also get a simple gift + budget planner to finish afterward, so you’re not panic-ordering on Amazon the week before Christmas.
How amazing would it feel to start the holidays with your calendar set and your priorities clear?
No more overcommitting, no more “how did I forget this?” moments.
Just a season with margin, meaning, and memories you’ll actually enjoy.
You can watch the workshop and grab all the free resources HERE.
You Don’t Have to Hustle for Holiday Joy
Friend, the peace you’re craving isn’t found in a full calendar.
It’s found in alignment - when your rhythms reflect what God is inviting your family into this season.
Start small.
Let go of the pressure.
And remember, your presence will always be more powerful than your performance.
Always in your corner,
